Every year my family tries to get to the Cape for a few days, some years just a weekend and others for one to two weeks. This year due to COVID 19 we were undecided as to if we really wanted to take the risk of travel. Ultimately we decided to only go for a short trip, we stayed in our RV, ate our own food and social distanced on the beaches and trails and campground. Here are some of my favorite pics from the trip. One would think, beaches, surf, beautiful weather...easy shooting! Well, not so easy but I am happy with these. Sunsets are always a goal but it is up to luck and mother nature to determine if you will be granted an opportunity for a good shot.

When you visit Race Point in Provincetown you have the option of registering your vehicle, airing down your tires and traveling through the sand dunes to the beach. This is a view of the path you take to get to the beach, it is a wonderful experience if you ever have the chance to take the OVR trails through the dunes I highly recommend. https://www.nps.gov/caco/planyourvisit/orv-map.htm

Caught a seagull flying overhead as the sun passed in front of the lens. Race Point, Provincetown, MA.

I caught a quick few shots of a young lady who was hiking all alone. She sat in this one spot for a long, long time. Just staring out at the sea, completely uninterested in all the passers by. I wondered what she was contemplating, reflecting....taken at the end of a trail in the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. https://www.massaudubon.org/get-outdoors/wildlife-sanctuaries/wellfleet-bay

Lovely flowers, of what type I do not know. On a path in the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. https://www.massaudubon.org/get-outdoors/wildlife-sanctuaries/wellfleet-bay

Little girl enjoying the cool surf of Race Point, Provincetown, MA.

Sun setting on Race Point, Provincetown, MA. I like this shot because we got lucky with a subject (ship) entering the beam of light. And the beam of light intersects with a cloud to form a cross, at least that is what I see.

Little girl enjoying the sun on her boogie board. Race Point, Provincetown, MA.

Cool shot at the end of the day, sun setting in the background just out of sight behind the life guard chair. This is Coast Guard Beach in Eastham, Cape Code National Seashore. https://www.nps.gov/caco/planyourvisit/coast-guard-beach-eastham.htm

Waves and water, not that easy to shoot. This was my first time. Taken mid-day at Race Point, Provincetown, MA.

This is a cool shot my son suggested, his art work and his reflection in the sunglasses.

A sail boat far off in the distance. There was not much color in the sky, the pink tones were added in post. Race Point, Provincetown, MA.

A small shell in the sand, love the texture of the sand in this shot. Race Point, Provincetown, MA.

Race Point Beach, Provincetown, MA. A view from the tidal pool at low tide. Way off in the distance you can see the little tiny cars and trucks that have traveled through the dunes (ORV trails) to get to the beach.
