Creamy and dreamy with Topaz DeNoise AI

What is "noise" in a photo? Well, without getting too technical, noise can make your photo look pixilated, grainy and less sharp. Grain typically comes when you are working in low light and when your ISO is low. I personally do NOT like grain in my photos. It is a personal preference really. Some people really like grain, it can give a photo authenticity, age or character. I absolutely LOVE the TOPAZ DeNoise AI program. As you can see in the above iPhone pic on the left... it is a bit fuzzy and has some grain. It wasn't taken with the highest quality camera and so by brining it into TOPAZ it is now much sharper and has a creamy quality to it.

To be honest, I am really simplifying "noise" in this short blog. If you want to learn more about the different types of noise follow this link: https://topazlabs.com/learn/what-is-noise-in-photography/?gclid=Cj0KCQiAmL-ABhDFARIsAKywVadcXNAuftBwW3U8VDeD5E0tC5rp5w3qjHcOydUzJe2lUb58bcHWKw0aAjEQEALw_wcB

The TOPAZ program allows you to control the noise and sharpness enhancements with sliders. It is super easy to install and use. Note I said "sharpness" too. Yes in

TOPAZ you can enhance sharpness. But be careful with this one, if you go too crazy with sharpness it can do some strange things to your photo. Additionally, if you only shoot with your phone/camera you can download from the cloud into TOPAZ.

Still not convinced? Here are a few more before and after shots to sway you.

You can clearly see in the above shot on the left the petals are grainy. But on the right they are dreamy and creamy! I love this effect.

Again, take a look at the photo on the left, the man's cheek is grainy, on the right it is smooth. You can see it with the woman's skin and eyes.

Finally, in these photos above you can see again the clear, no pun intended, differences. Grain on the left and creamy on the right. A bit more sharpness on the right as well which I was looking for.

In some shots you are going to maybe want some grain. But I think you will also want the power to remove grain. I did not find Lightroom or Photoshop able to de-noise to this level.

I highly recommend this program. You have nothing to loose, as you can try this program out for no cost for 30 days: https://topazlabs.com/denoise-ai-2/?gclid=Cj0KCQiAmL-ABhDFARIsAKywVacp9cXrtsMBI4oj0wFVR7TNWmX_U0bTcqVcyXstuImDqNZNB96o9MoaAkoHEALw_wcB

Note: Be sure to check the computer processing requirements, if you do not have the adequate requirements the program will run slow.
