hello & Welcome
Hello and welcome to my photography website. I consider myself an artist, writer and photographer. Throughout my life, beauty through art, has always been a focus; through my home life and professional life. Since I was young, I have always loved to create art and beauty in my life and for others, I have only recently come to photography as a new form of art. I love the story a photograph can tell and I enjoy the post-editing process that digital photography offers an artist. I see the original photo as my sketch and in post-editing I can make the piece really come to life through my own vision and the help of technology. have a wide variety of photography interests including, portraiture, nature and landscapes, product, candid's and wildlife. my process
My process is intuitive. What does this mean? It means that every project is unique and is guided by and seen through the lens of the subject. My subject might be a person or people, candid or portrait. My subject might be nature, animals, still life or product. Regardless, my goal is to get to know and understand my subject as it relates to light and the environment that surrounds it.
When I enter into a project with a client I like to get to know them. If a portrait or candid's I like to do an interview and have a conversation with them. Get to know what they want out of their photos and the session, what they like and what they don't. This helps me formulate a plan for the project, no two projects are alike. No two subjects are the same, so the locations are different, time of day is different, the light is different, all of this connects back to the individual expectations and goals of the client. For some this might mean a 30 min. shoot with 200 shots, for others it might me two or more locations and over 1000 shots.
The same holds true for other projects that might involve animals, nature, stills or products. I work with the client to understand their needs and then craft a plan to meet those needs.
